Biodiversity
At Brøndby Golfklub, we do a lot to ensure good biodiversity in the entire course area.
Among other things, we have stopped mowing the rough in several places (where you shouldn't hit your ball), so that it can grow big and tall, thereby attracting more/many different insect species.
We have also switched to mowing our fairways with robot mowers, in this way we avoid a large consumption of diesel oil for our machines, at the same time as the pressure on the course is significantly eliminated.
We are also working on getting bird boxes set up around the course, in order to attract birds that want to breed on our areas.
Furthermore, we have a large number of birds that live on our course, swans, mallards, Canadian geese, coots etc. Take good care of them.
And in our lakes you will find/hear several species of frogs unfolding their mating sounds etc.
So remember to enjoy nature while playing your round of golf.
