Closing of the 1st tee:

  • In connection with the club's participation in various tournaments, the 1st tee may be closed or priority may be given for a limited period of time. These closures/preferential rights will appear on the website and in Golfboks as soon as the events are known to the club.

Tee:

  • Unless otherwise stated in the tournament conditions, men play from Tee 51 and women from Tee 43.

Slow Play:

  • In the tournaments organized by BGK, the tournament management can, in the absence of extenuating circumstances, put a team on time observation if the allowed time is exceeded.

DEFINITIONS:

  • Out of position is an expression that the team has fallen further behind the team in front than the starting interval.
  • A team has finished playing a hole when the flag is placed in the hole after the last putt.
  • Extenuating circumstances are understood to mean the situations where the loss of distance to the team in front is due to conditions for which the team in question cannot be responsible at the discretion of the committee/judge, or in the case of a lost ball waving the trailing team through.

Stableford and Stroke Play Tournaments:

  1. If a team gets "out of place", the tournament management can step in with an invitation to pick up the pace and close the gap to the team playing in front within the next two holes.
The tournament management follows the team for the next few holes and at the same time times the players individually.
  2. If the team on the next hole does not show a will to close through, when that hole has been played, an official warning must be given that the team on the subsequent holes will be timed.
  3. The entire team must be notified that it has been timed, and if a player spends more than 40 seconds on a shot, a time penalty is awarded.

In a round, the time penalty is recalculated as follows:

  • First time: a penalty kick
  • Second time: the general penalty (Rule 5.6a)
  • Third time: disqualification

Hole play tournaments:

  1. A team must maintain its position in relation to the team in front, so that the starting interval does not change significantly. At the first significant deviation, a warning is given to the team and systematic timing can be started.
  2. After a given warning, a player may use a maximum of 40 seconds for a shot - calculated from the time when the player has the opportunity to hit. If a player in the same round subsequently causes undue delay, the general penalty is awarded (Rule 5.6a). Subsequent violation: disqualification.
